Zuni Polychrome Effigy Pottery This Zuni Polychrome Effigy Pottery is a signature design by Yvonne Nashboo (1975- ). Acquired at in a recent trade, this work combines old style imaging with modern interpretation. The wide belly displays 4 frogs, a major rain-bringing symbol for the desert pueblos. It’s 5-1/2″ tall and 5″ wide and is signed under the base. There is a tiny surface crack on the outside, otherwise in very good condition. This Zuni Polychrome Effigy Pottery is one of a kind! Yvonne was born into the Eagle Clan. She is the partner of Brian Tsethilkai & they frequently work together. Along with many other family members, she is referenced in Schaaf’s, “Southern Pueblo Pottery 2000 Artist biographies”.
