This is a POWER-OVER-ETHERNET (POE) CAMERA, it is NOT WIRELESS (WiFi). The camera operates with just a single Ethernet cable when a POE switch or injector (not included) is used to provide both power and data transmission. This POE feature can be very convenient when it is difficult or dangerous to provide an AC power outlet at the camera location. The camera can also operate from the included 12V/1A AC power adapter when a POE switch/injector is not used.
