Zuni Heartline Bear Fetish Carving This Zuni Heartline Bear Fetish Carving was handmade by Abby Quam. She depicts the tribal totem of healing and protection using gold slag (roserita). It derives its exceptionally rich, red color from the process of gold refining. His eyes and breath of life arrow are Turquoise. Polished to a soft shine, it’s 2″ long and 3/4″ tall. This Zuni Heartline Bear Fetish Carving is a little beauty and it’s one of a kind! This was purchased from the Phoenix Heard Museum and was part of a private collection. Most have the original cards of purchase, made by the owner, and all were extremely well cared for. The previous owner collected these in the last quarter of the 20th century.
